One Storyboard, Two Performers
The job started small: two UGC testimonial videos — one male performer, one female — built from the client's storyboard and final draft. Realistic AI actors, a clear offer, an end card. I made them with the generation models available in mid-2026, before Seedance 2.5 existed: every visual fix meant regenerating the segment and finishing it by hand.
Then It Became 18 Videos
The client liked the two videos — so they ordered the full matrix. Both performers, at full length, as 15-second cutdowns, and as 60-second loops, each in portrait, landscape and square. Two videos became eighteen, and every one of them had to stay identical in offer, wording and timing. A one-word change no longer meant editing a video. It meant editing eighteen.

Where the Real Work Was
The generation was the easy half. The real work was compliance and consistency. The legal disclaimer had to run the full length of every video — and the client rewrote it twice, the second time one day after the first. Mid-project, the offer changed from $25–$350 to $25–$500, so every end card in all 18 versions was rebuilt. An "AI performer" badge had to stay visible whenever the actors were on screen. And the small notes never stopped: lip-sync off by a beat at second 17, the male performer's face drifting between clips, a landscape cut running two seconds shorter than its portrait twin. Anyone can generate a video. Client work is surviving the feedback — this is the project where I learned that.

Full-Length Disclaimer
Required across every single second of all 18 cuts; rewritten twice by legal with overnight turnarounds.
$25–$350 → $25–$500
Mid-campaign offer change forced an end-card overhaul across all three aspect ratios simultaneously.
AI Performer Badging
Clear persistent disclosure badge pinned whenever synthetic performers were active on screen.
Lip-Sync & Continuity
Frame-by-frame phonetic sync checks, facial drift suppression, and strict twin cut runtime matching.
